Box Bead Installation – Dry Wall

HOW TO INSTALL: McCOY BOX BEAD FOR DRY WALL SKIM WORKS

1 - align the box beads

Prepare the area and align the box beads

2 - secure the box bead

Secure the box bead by placing it in front of the backing box, so it lies flat against the plasterboard. The box bead should fit loosely and be secured with staples or adhesive.

3 - skim the plaster

Skim the plaster flush to the ridge of the box beads

4 - remove excess plaster

Remove any excess plaster that may have entered the opening when it is still wet, leave to cure

5 - decorate

Once dry, commence decorating

6 - attach covers

Finish by second fix and attaching electrical switch covers
